Miles Durand has a history of horticulture, permaculture design, natural resource management, training and development that began in 1970. Highlights include:

  • Pemaculture Design Certificate (PDC) with Bill Mollison at Stanley, Tasmania in 1983
  • Plant Nursery Manager at Zaytuna Farm, home of the Permaculture Research Institute (PRI)
  • Teaching Permaculture within the TAFE colleges of Western Australia
  • A founding director of the Permaculture Institute of Western Australia
  • A horticulture trainee at Kings Park and Botanical Gardens, Perth Western Australia
